New shows! While I'm working very hard on this upcoming album, I might as well treat some nice folks to some shows, right? So off to Switzerland for some solo shows in September and full band shows in November. Well Hello there, here we are 6 months later, and no sign of this new album as I had promised! Damn. Well, I can *assure* you that it is on its way. I'm working hard every day with lovely people to see that this happens. And that the album is good. In the meanwhile, if you're in France or neighboring country, you'll be able to enjoy an acoustic, solo, stripped down version of these new songs in your local mediathèque for the 2011-2012 season by way of this cool project: l'Association 45tours
Your local libraries are hiring me to give a solo concert during which there will be a high level of interaction with you dear audience. This will be the occasion to meet with me, to chat about the songs, their lyrics and my songwriting process. Other songwriters and musicians I LOVE are also participating in the project. Happy New Year!!! Hope you're all rested because this one is going to be a bit of a rollercoaster. I start out my year with no less than three exciting concerts. I'll be popping by Warsaw (Poland) to give a charity concert for Haitian victims of last year's big earthquake. Before then, I'm hanging out with two great Parisian crews as a duet outfit with drummer Anne Paceo. Our first stop is at le Cabaret Sauvage in La Villette (that big arts park at the edge of Paris?) with the Toubab AllStars. I can't believe it's already November! I guess time flies when you're not updating a website regularly... sorry about that. I'd thought I'd make it up to you and post a video of me on Quebec television performing my cover of "Crazy in Love" with the backing band from Belle et Bum. I'm currently on tour in select Quebec and Ontarian cities (Montreal, North Hatley, Quebec City, Wakefield and Toronto) so if you want tickets... get'em fast! Canada was amazing. So many old friends. Unfortunately some missed... But I guess you want to hear about the shows eh? Jazz: very proper. Harbourfront: very late and smokey. L'escalier: very rootsy, veggie café style. So all in all: I had a killer time. To top it off, I got a wonderful interview by Mélanie Canard posted to her site "Dans la Poche de Mel". One last show in Paris before I take off for three whole weeks back home. Paris is starting to strangely feel like a new home so that word has taken a new meaning recently. These past few weeks I've played in so many new cities as well as some favorite old ones (Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna, Madrid). And I'm looking forward on returning to Montreal to grace the stage of the Théâtre Maisonneuve opening for Mr. Harry Manx. "Camphor & Copper" redux (as I like to call it) is released in Canada. I have released an early independent version of this CD independently. So if you have a limited edition (only 1000 copies pressed) version of that CD, you might want to hear an alternate mix of the tracks as well as the addition of 5 new tracks and 2 bonus tracks on top of that...14 feb 2010

Happy New Year! It's almost my birthday.. almost. I'm that age when journalists stop mentionning your exact age anymore. I'm also closer to my thirties, which is supposed to be the decade you're most comfortable in your skin. I'm really looking forward to that. Being in your twenties and in an industry where your looks count more than your talent does wonders for my self-esteem...
